Children Desiring God

The greatest need children have is to know and cherish the infinite value of God. Therefore, we want children to become so acquainted with the Word of God that they treasure Him alone as the One who saves and satisfies the heart. The goal of our ministry and curriculum is to fuel spiritual desire in children by exalting the greatness and worth of God and His glorious work through Christ. Children Desiring God is our Sunday school type ministry to all children from birth through 5th grade and it takes place every Sunday at 9:15AM in the main building.

The 411 Concerning Our Nursery

While parents attend services, the optional ECCC Nursery Ministry provides quality childcare for your children. The nursery is located in the same building as the worship center. The children are grouped by age: infants & toddlers. We ask that you label all belongings taken into the nursery. Our nursery is well stocked with toys and staffed with caring people, making for a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing place for your children so you can enjoy the worship service, free from worry or interruption. There is also a private place provided for nursing mothers. Thanks for entrusting us with the privilege of serving you and your children with the love of Jesus. As He said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

Check-in Procedures and Silent Pagers

For the safety of your child, we have strict guidelines concerning drop-off and pick-up. The nursery must have a completed emergency information sheet about each child who is cared for. When a child is checked into the nursery, a number will be assigned to the child and his/her things; the parent will be given the corresponding number card. We will provide you with a silent pager to notify you if you are needed during the worship service. In order to retrieve your child from the nursery, a parent must exchange the numbered card for the child. Nursery workers will not release children to anyone but the adult whom has been previously specified.

Health Concerns

Every effort is made to keep the nursery clean and sanitary. Please do not bring sick children into the church nursery. Children with runny nose, fever, runny eyes, or who are otherwise believed to be contagious will be asked to leave to protect the other children. Your child should be free of fever for 24 hours after an illness before joining the other children in the nursery.

The nursery and all of the things in it are sanitized weekly to help keep the environment free from germs.

Crying Babies

It is likely that children will fuss when they are dropped off for nursery. It is easier for the workers to consol children if the parents are not visible. Workers will let children cry for no longer than ten minutes.

If the child does not calm down, the parents will be requested by silent paging to return to the nursery.
